Janell Cannon is an American children's author and artist.
janell started life in 1957 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Burton H. and Nancy A. Cannon. She attended Burnsville university, and graduated in 1975. After university she moved to California, and from 1981 to 1993 she was a graphic artist for the Carlsbad Library.
