Louis Dearborn L'amour was an American writer. His works consisted primarily of Western fiction stories , however he also created historical fiction , science fiction , nonfiction , as well as poetry and short-story collections. Many of his novels were made into films. L'amour's works remain popular and most have gone through multiple printings. At the time of his death some of his 105 existing books were in print and he was considered one of the world's most popular authors.
